Activities performed with certification and experience
Below are brief information about the work I have performed as a professional over several years.
Since 2007 I have regularly produced animations and illustrations for the Faculty of Medicine of the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG).
I am a 3D animator specialized by the ‘Academy of Art University’. My training took place under the supervision of professionals from the ‘Pixar’ studio.
Under the guidance of Rosa Maria Alves Pereira and Marco Anacleto, illustrators at the Institute of Biological Sciences at UFMG, I obtained my certificate in scientific illustration
Highly accurate scientific illustrations and animations.
Scientific illustrations depicting flora (botanical illustration) and fauna (zoological illustration) are included in a broader category called Naturalistic Illustration. Access my portfolio to view some of the work I have developed in this field of scientific representations.
Basic steps for a good
Character Animation
Reference video step 1
Movements, gestures and expressions are analyzed from records of reality.
Key posing step 2
The most important poses in the scene (keyframes) are marked.
Blocking step 3
Passing poses ('in betweens') are added between key points breaking down the movement from each pose to the next. The animation curve remains in 'stepped' mode.
Splining step 4
Automatic interpolation of marked poses is activated. The animation curve is changed from 'stepped' to 'spline' mode.
Smoothing step 5
All curves (already in 'spline' mode) are cleaned up and adjusted to ensure the movement looks even smoother and more natural.
Adding life step 6
Minor imperfections and asymmetries are added to bring realism and life to the character.
Medical illustrations and animations.
Medical (or biomedical) illustrations and animations make scientific concepts of anatomy, cell types, and human body systems more accessible to both healthcare professionals and the general public. This category of representations also encompasses chemical and biochemical sciences – molecular and pharmacological structures.
